Over the years, rain interventions in cricket have seen some unique innovative methods from grounstaff, but the last two days has clearly been next level as this time a halogen light is used to dry up pitch.
Fans were taken by surprise when groundstaff in the R Premadasa Stadium in Pallekele were spotted trying to dry the outfield and the pitch with a giant fan when the India vs Pakistan match interrupted by rain on Sunday. This time, they came up with another innovative way of using halogen lights to dry up pitch and outfield on the reserve day of the India vs Pakistan clash. Fans loved the new method too and took to 'X' to react on it.
