Australian cricketer Josie Dooley, currently on her road to recovery, shared an emotional moment from her life when she picked up a bat for the first time since suffering a life-threatening stroke. The 25-year-old wicketkeeper-batter, via an Instagram video, reflected on the time she picked up a bat for the first time and played a drive shot in a hospital room. A benign brain tumour triggered a cerebellar stroke in Dooley during a holiday in Hawaii in April 2024. Dooley has played the Women's Big Bash League for franchises like Melbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat, while representing South Australia in domestic cricket.  Hitwicket or Stumped?
