Rohit Paudel and his men were on the verge of scripting history and were close to beating a Test-playing nation for the first time before Heinrich Klaasen ran out Gulshan Jha off the last ball to prevent the upset. Nepal had the upper hand for a good part of the game and a dejected fan sitting in the stands at Arnos Vale Ground, Kingstown in St Vincent, broke down in tears and covered his face after the loss.
