West Indies were able to put up a resilient fight on account of a brilliant fifty from in-form Nicholas Pooran, who scored 67.
The second T20I match between India and West Indies ended in favour of West Indies who defeated the visitors by two wickets to take a 2-0 lead in the five match series. West Indies sealed the match thanks to a wonderful bowling effort from Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph. Batting first, India posted 152 on account of maiden T20I from India batsman Tilak Varma in his second match for his country.
