Prabath Jayasuriya starred with six wickets as he helped Sri Lanka bowl out New Zealand for just 88 runs in the second innings of the SL vs NZ 2nd Test 2024 on September 29. The left-arm spinner has played a very important role in Sri Lanka's success of late and showcased another dominant performance with the ball, taking the wickets of Devon Conway (9), Kane Williamson (7), Daryl Mitchell (13), Tom Blundell (1), Glenn Phillips (0) and Tim Southee (2). This performance helped the Sri Lanka national cricket team to tighten their grip on the 2nd Test in Galle. Apart from Prabath Jayasuriya, Nishan Peiris also took three wickets.
