The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) issued an injury update after Pratika Rawal injured herself while fielding in the IND-W vs BAN-W ICC Women's World Cup 2025 match at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on Sunday, October 26. On the last ball of the 21st over, Pratika Rawal attempted to stop a boundary and overran the ball. In the process, she nastily twisted her ankle and had to leave the field right after that. The BCCI issued a statement on social media on Pratika Rawal's injury and it read, "#TeamIndia all-rounder Pratika Rawal sustained an injury to her knee and ankle while fielding in the 1st innings against Bangladesh. The BCCI Medical Team is closely monitoring her progress."
