In no time after slamming his first century for Maharashtra in the ongoing UTCA vs MAH Ranji Trophy 2025-26 Elite Group B match, Prithvi Shaw has converted the knock into a memorable double hundred. Reaching the double hundred, Prithvi Shaw struck a monstrous 200 runs knock off 141 balls, at a strike-rate of 141.84. This knock also consisted of 28 fours and 3 sixes. This is the second-fastest double hundred in Ranji Trophy history, just after Ravi Shastri's 200 of 123 balls in 1985. Prithvi Shaw achieves this feat against Chandigarh at Sector 16 Stadium. This is also the 25-year-old's first first-class double-century while representing Maharashtra. In the first innings, he was out for only eight runs, while on his Maharashtra debut against Kerala, he had scored a duck and a 75.
