Rahul Tripathi was run out after a miscommunication with Abdul Samad during the KKR vs SRH IPL 2024 Qualifier 1 match on Tuesday, May 21. Tripathi was batting well on 55 when Samad played a cut short towards point and Russell caught hold of the ball before throwing it to Rahmanullah Gurbaz. Samad had set off after hitting the shot and was involved in a miscommunication with Tripathi, who was caught short at the striker's end as Gurbaz whipped out the bails in a flash. Tripathi was distraught after this run out as he led Sunrisers Hyderabad's counter-attack after losing a flurry of wickets at the top.
