Chennai Super Kings (CSK) registered an impressive 28-run victory over Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Dharamshala. Ravindra Jadeja played a crucial role with bat and bowl for CSK and was named Man of the Match in the game.
Playing the 11th match in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were invited to bat first at the HPCA ground against Punjab Kings (PBKS). After three losses in the last four matches, CSK were desperate for a win to stay in the ‘qualification race’. The side delivered in the important match with the help of Ravindra Jadeja’s all-round performance who was named man of the match. But the side lost too many wickets early. Ravindra Jadeja (43 runs), Ruturaj Gaikwad (32 runs) and Daryl Mitchell (30 runs) helped CSK reach 167 runs in 20 overs. Chasing a moderate target, PBKS's batting lineup also performed poorly with the bat. Prabhsimran Singh (30 runs) and Shashank Singh (27 runs) played well but Ravindra Jadeja’s three-wicket haul proved decisive again in the second inning.
