Ben Stokes had made his return from retirement in ODI cricket on the request of England captain Jos Buttler. He has looked good since return and has accumulated some runs under his belt ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. In the 3rd ODI between England and New Zealand, he stitched a crucial partnership with Dawid Malan after some early wickets and then switched gears to hit some ridiculous strokes. It included a walking scoop shot to Lockie Ferguson to reach his 23rd ODI fifty.
