The series, which was originally scheduled to begin from July 13, was postponed after reports of COVID-19 infections within the Sri Lankan camp emerged. The series was rescheduled and now, the first ODI would be played on July 18.
The Indian team led by Shikhar Dhawan was seen engaging in intensive training sessions ahead of their ODI series against Sri Lanka, which starts on July 18. BCCI took to Twitter to share the video of the players sweating it out.
