Several members of the India national cricket team, including captain Suryakumar Yadav, Varun Chakaravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, Axar Patel, and Rinku Singh, visited the historic Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Kerala ahead of the IND vs NZ 5th T20I 2026. The players were dressed in traditional attire (dhotis and traditional upper cloths), offered prayers, and sought blessings at the most revered Hindu shrines in the world. This visit has become a common ritual for the national side when playing in the Kerala capital, mirroring similar visits during past tours.
