After trying to go for the podium finish, Sergio Perez collided with Carlos Sainz crashing onto the side wall. Oscar Piastri won the race.
Oscar Piastri won the Azerbaijan GP 2024 while Lando Norris delivered a clinical performance finishing fourth from the 17th position. But it was not a good outing for Sergio Perez who crashed out of his favourite route. Perez was pushing to move into second but had Sainz putting pressure behind him. However, on the following straight, both drivers collided and ended up against the wall following the huge collision. Perez holds the record for most wins at Baku City Circuit but couldn’t finish the 2024 edition of the same.
