The star forward lauded the fans for their warm welcome as Al-Nassr got their AFC Champions League 2023-24 campaign off to a flying start. Cristiano Ronaldo's side rode on an own goal coming from Abdulrahman Ghareeb's shot and Mohammed Qassem to clinch the victory.
Cristiano Ronaldo sent out a 'special thank you' to all the fans and the Iranian people after Al-Nassr beat Persepolis 2-0 in the AFC Champions League 2023-24 on Tuesday, September 19. The Portugal forward made his Asian football debut and although he could not score, his side clinched a dominant win in the end after the hosts were reduced to 10 men. One of the game's greatest, Ronaldo has received a lot of love from fans from the time he stepped foot in Iran for this contest and taking to social media, he wrote, "Great to get the win today!
