Star striker Erling Haaland shined in a high-voltage season opener between Manchester City and Chelsea. He scored an opening goal taking his tally to 91 goals in 100 matches for Man City. Interestingly he scored over Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella. Later in the post-game interview, Haaland said, Well, Cucurella is a funny man. Last season he asked for my shirt… and this summer he sings a song about me”. The Spanish defender made a song on Haaland during the Spain National Football Team’s Euro 2024 celebrations, which went viral.
