Former Manchester City Player Gareth Barry Comes Out of Retirement, Signs Professional Contract with Mid-Sussex Side Hurstpierpoint
The former England International and Premier League record holder announced his retirement in 2020 but now has signed a professional contract with Mid-Sussex side Hurstpierpoint announcing his coming out of retirement.
Gareth Barry won the league with Manchester City in 2012 and announced retirement as a West Brom player in 2020. The iconic star held the record for most Premier League appearances at the time and even represented the England National Football Team for 53 matches. Now with a new professional contract signed, Barry announced his return to the club level football. He signed with Mid-Sussex side Hurstpierpoint and will play in non-league football matches. With his close relationships with the team coach Michael Standing, Barry might have decided to play competitive football. Barry's Premier League career stretched over 20 years playing for Aston Villa, Manchester City, Everton, and West Brom.
