Mason Greenwood’s Jersey Burned by Manchester United Fans After Striker’s Arrest for Suspicion of Rape and Assault (Watch Video)
The England striker was released on bail earlier this week after arrest on suspicion of rape and assault. Manchester United earlier had offered fans to exchange Greenwood's jersey for free. The club had suspended the player from training and playing and further investigation is currently underway into this issue.
Manchester United fans burnt Mason Greenwood's jerseys after the striker was accused of rape and assault by girlfriend Harriet Robson. While some fans tried to burn Greenwood's jersey and memorabilia, others tried to remove the player's name and number from the jerseys.
