Kylian Mbappe scored from the penalty spot and Achraf Hakimi also found the back of the net as PSG began their UEFA Champions League 2023-24 campaign with a 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund. Things were goalless at half-time before Mbappe broke the deadlock in the 49th minute with a strike from the penalty spot after Niklas Sule's handball. This was followed by Hakimi doubling PSG's lead with the full-back scoring a wonderful goal from an assist by Vitinha. Borussia Dortmund did not have any response to these two strikes and ended up on the losing side in this Group F encounter.
