India played against Germany in the penultimate match of their campaign in FIH Pro League 2023-24. Goals from Harmanpreet Singh and Sukhjeet Singh weren’t enough as India’s defensive lapses cost them the match.
Preparing for the Paris Olympics 2024, the Indian Men's Hockey Team was expecting a better performance against Germany in the London Leg of the FIH Pro League 2023-24. But their defensive lapses cost them the match as Germany struck twice within the first 10 minutes into the first quarter with Peillat Gonzalo and Ruhr Christopher scoring for Germany. Team India pulled one back before half-time with captain Harmanpreet Singh finding the back of the net after a smooth passing move. Peillat Gonzalo converted the second penalty in the third quarter to give the World Champions a two-goal cushion.
