Nishad Kumar won the silver medal in the Men's High Jump T47 event at the Paris Paralympics 2024. The para-athlete came up with a sensational effort of 2.04m to secure a podium finish. This was a second consecutive silver medal for the 24-year-old para-athlete, who had won the same prize three years ago at the Tokyo Paralympics. With this, India's medal tally has increased to seven. This was also India's third track-and-field medal at the Paris Paralympics 2024 after Preeti Pal's double bronze medal win.
