Japanese telecom giant Softbank's Vision Fund agreed to invest USD 500 million in OpenAI's latest funding round. This comes after Apple recently dropped out of talks to join the OpenAI investment round, which was expected to raise USD 6.5 billion. It valued the ChatGPT developer at USD 150 billion before the investment, according to reports. Recently, the Microsoft-backed OpenAI witnessed a leadership reshuffle as some executives resigned and the company turned "for profit".
