Bill Gates and Melinda Gates End Their 27 Year Long Marriage
Bill Gates and Melinda Gates' divorce is the second big divorce amongst the uppermost ranks of the world's richest people in recent years. In 2019, Amazon's Jeff Bezos and MacKenzie Scott had gotten divorced. The divorce, which divided the duo's stake in Amazon.com Inc., immediately made MacKenzie one of the world's richest people.
Bill Gates and Melinda Gates issued a statement on Monday revealing that they were divorcing after 27 years of marriage. They added that the divorce will have little impact on the philanthropic work they do together, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
