The FBI has released photos of a ‘person of interest’ linked to the assassination of conservative activist and Donald Trump ally Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot during a Turning Point USA debate at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. Authorities said Kirk was answering a question on gun violence when a sniper’s bullet struck his neck, causing chaos among attendees. The gunman, believed to have fired from a rooftop, reportedly fled into a nearby neighborhood after the attack. Investigators recovered a high-powered bolt-action rifle they believe was used in the shooting and are analysing video footage to identify the suspect. Disturbing videos of the incident have flooded social media, showing Kirk collapsing as horrified spectators screamed. The FBI urged the public to assist in identifying the suspect as the manhunt intensifies.
