A senior Russian military officer has been wounded in a shooting in Moscow. Lt Gen Vladimir Alexeyev, a senior official in the GRU, Russia’s military intelligence agency, was shot several times inside a residential building in the city’s north-western outskirts and rushed to hospital, where his condition remains unknown.
