RR Win By 6 Runs | Gujarat Titans vs Rajasthan Royals, Highlights, IPL 2026 Match 9: Tushar Deshpande Helps Team Clinch Thriller

A sensational over from Tushar Deshpande has pulled RR past the finish line, defending 11 runs, against Rashid Khan and Kagiso Rabada, who added 43 off 30. The call to hand Despande the final over ahead of Nandre Burger is a match-winning decision by Riyan Parag. GT will be gutted with loss, after suffering a collapse in the second half of the innings.

This contest is turning into a thriller, with GT needing 30 off 18. Rashid Khan and Kagiso Rabada have added 24 off 14, and ensured GT remain alive in the hunt. 

OUT! And, Ravi Bishnoi, it is! Bishnoi claims his fourth wicket, as Rahul Tewatia hands a catch to wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel, trying to play the cut shot off a fuller ball. Bishnoi also completes 200 T20 wickets, 19 Indian bowler to achieve so. 

OUT! Nandre Burger into the attack, and has dismissed well-set Jos Buttler. Buttler played the pull shot, but could only find Sandeep Sharma at infe-lef after a top-edge. GT have self imploded. 

OUT! Ravi Bishnoi is making this a one-sided affair, claiming his third wicket in nine balls. Washington Sundar whips the balls towards but finds Ravindra Jajeda stationed at deep mid-wicket. 

OUT! Ravi Bishnoi is turning the tide in RR's favour. Bishnoi claims his second wicket, as Glenn Phillips holes out to long-on, where Jofra Archer takes a sharp catch. All eyes will be on Jos Buttler to help GT master this chase. 

OUT! Ravi Bishnoi into his first over, manages to dismiss the dangerous Sai Sudharshan. Bishnoi bowled a googly, which was short and spun away from the batter, which saw Sudharshan bring out the pull, only to hand a catch to the fielder off a top-edge. 

OUT!  A cool and composed effort near the boundary line by Shimron Hetmyer sees Kumar Kushgara's stay in the middle end. Kushagra went for the big shot, but Hetmyer managed to pouch the ball, then throw it back in before crossing the line, and then return to complete a legal catch, handing Riyan Parag his first wicket. 

FIFTY! Sai Sudharshan finds his rhythm and hits his 13th IPL half-century. Sudharshan took 33 balls to reach his fifty, which included 7 fours and 2 sixes. 

This is solid powerplay for the Gujarat Titans, with openers adding 56 runs in 6 overs, in a chase of 210. Sai Sudharshan has done most of the scoring, contributing 33, while the youngster Kumar Kushagara is sitting on 17. 

This is a brisk start by GT, with openers adding 32 off 3 overs, with Sai Sudharshan scoring 20 runs alone. All eyes will be on Kumar Kushagara, who had a sensational season for Jharkhand in SMAT 2025-26. 

With a record chase in sight, GT will bank on their openers to provide the team with a solid yet brisk start. Sai Sudharshan will have a new partner in Kumar Kushagra, who is making his debut for GT, replacing Shubman Gill, who is missing this contest due to spasms. 

Rajasthan Royals end their innings on 210, which means Gujarat Titans will need to chase down the highest-ever IPL total at Narendra Modi Stadium, surpassing KKR's 205. Dhruv Jurel scored 75 off 42, which helped RR nudge past the 200-run mark after a mini collapse. Kagiso Rabada stood out with two wickets for GT, while all others claimed one apiece. 

FIFTY! Dhruv Jurel slams his fifth IPL half-century. Jurel's fifty came off 50 balls, which included 4 fours and three sixes. Jurel has ensured the scoreboard kept ticking despite wickets tumbling on the other end. 

OUT! Kagiso Rabada into the attack, and gets his countryman Donovan Ferreira. Ferreria went for the big shot, but the hard length from Rabada once again sees the batter hole out near the boundary line. RR have lost its way after a fabulous start. 

OUT! Ashok Sharma gets the final laugh against Shimron Hetmyer. Hetmyer thrashed the bowler for a four on the previous ball, but in an attempt to go over long on, the batter failed to get an elevation as Mohammed Siraj dives to take a spendid catch. 

OUT! Prasidh Krishna comes into the attack and produces a wicket. Riyan Parag gave a simple catch to Kumar Kushagra, trying to push the ball, which caught the top half of the bat and went to backward point. 

RR captain Riyan Parag is out in the middle after the fall of Yashasvi Jaiswal's wicket. Jaiswal went for the big short over covers, but a tad bit fuller-length ball saw Kagiso Rabada rattle the batter's stumps. 

FIFTY! Yashasvi Jaiswal has found his form and dishes out a 32-ball half-century.  Jaiswal's 16th IPL fifty includes five fours and three sixes. Important for Jaiswal to convert this start into a ton, his third in IPL.

This is a solid platform for RR's hard-hitting sitting on the bench to capitalise on. Yashasvi Jaiswal is nearing his 16th IPL half-century, while Dhruv Jurel is slowly settling into his innings. The duo have added 37 off 28.
