The World Cup 2019 begun with pomp in England and Wales and the first match is held between the hosts England and South Africa at The Oval. With this, came the first record that was created by spinner Imran Tahir. The 40-year-old went on to become the first spinner in World Cup history to bowl the 1st over. He also went on to get the wicket of England’s danger man Jonny Bairstow for a golden duck during the first World Cup 2019 match between England vs South Africa. Madan Lal was the first bowler to bowl the first ball in the inaugural edition of the World Cup back in 1975. West Indies’ Andy Roberts bowled the first ball of the World Cup in 1979. Talking about the match, South Africa has won the toss and had elected to bowl first.  As of now at this moment, South Africa has scored 246 runs with the loss of six wickets. Jason Roy and Joe Root both scored half-centuries. Then came captain Eoin Morgan who also chipped in with yet another 57 runs which stabilised the hosts.
