After rain washed day one of the second Test between India and England at the Lordās Cricket Ground, the home side dominated the proceedings on both day two and three. On day two, India were bundled out for 107 runs after James Anderson scalped a five-wicket haul. On day three, England piled the misery on India and took a lead of 150 runs as they posted 357 for six on board. Chris Woakes and Jonny Bairstow did the damage to India with a brilliant partnership of 189 runs for the six the wicket. Woakes who finished the day unbeaten scored 120 off 159 balls and smashed 18 fours during his stay. Bairstow, on the other hand, was unlucky to miss out on a century as he was dismissed on an individual score of 93. The forecast for day four doesnāt look good and chances are it might rain again. Meanwhile, it was raining early on in London, so delayed start to day four cannot be ruled out. There is a strong possibility of England declaring on an overnight score as well.
