Another commanding win for India U19 side. The Sri Lanka U19 side won the toss and decided to bowl first. Indian side struggled against the Lankan bowling attack except Gangadi Trisha who scored 49 helping the side reach a challenging 118 total in the first innings. Defending the total, Indian bowlers once again dominated the proccedings. Parunika Sisodia, Jyothika VJ, and Shabnam Md Shakil picked up two wickets each and restricted the opposition to 58 runs only. With a 60-run victory, India now top Group A and advanced to the Super Six round.

This has been a great show of grit from Sri Lanka Women's tailenders, who are showing their top-order batters how to bat. Aseni Thalagune, in particular, has been solid, surviving 26 balls, while Pramudi Methsara has managed to play out 13 balls.

23 Jan, 14:46 (IST)

Sri Lanka have just not managed to get into the groove, after the fall of quick wickets early on. Both Shabnam Shakil and Joshitha V J have rocked the Sri Lankan top order, claiming two wickets apiece. The last wicket of Manudi Nanayakkara was just panic setting in the Lankan line-up.

OUT! Joshitha gets her second wicket in as many overs. Hiruni Hansika found herself in the crease, with the ball crashing into her pads for an easy leg-before call. This has been a perfect start for India Women U19 bowlers, who have been on the mark in their three overs thus far. Shabnam Shakil, in particular, has been the wrecker in chief, claiming two wickets out of the three. After starring with the bat, Joshitha V J is making her mark with the ball as well, removing Sanjana Kavindi for 5.

Pramudi Methsara, Limansa Thilakarathna, and Aseni Thalagune claimed two wickets apiece, that helped Sri Lanka Women U19 restrict India under 120.

23 Jan, 13:30 (IST)

As expected India Women's untested U19 batting unit has failed to live up to expectations, and have crumbled against disciplined bowling by Sri Lanka Women's U19. With track assisting the spinners, Sri Lanka have bowled their part-timers well, who have constantly provided the side with breakthroughs.

23 Jan, 13:02 (IST)

OUT! Just as India Women's U19 were looking to up the ante, Sri Lanka Women's U19 have managed to strike back. Aseni Thalagune in her first over, produces a wicket and rid of the well-settled Niki Prasad, who hands a caught and bowled for a 14-ball 11. Niki Prasad c and b Aseni Thalagune 11(14)

23 Jan, 12:23 (IST)

OUT! Another one bites the dust.  Pramudi Methsara is on a roll and manages to get her second wicket of the over, first dismissing opener G Kamalini for five, and now getting rid of Sanika Chalke for a four-ball duck. India will need to consolidate again and ensure that the bleeding stops quickly. Sanika Chalke c and b Pramudi Methsara 0(4)
