Read below for live score and updates of the India National Cricket Team vs Australia National Cricket Team 4th T20I 2025.
Out! That's It! Solid victory from Team India which didn't look likely after the first innings. Australia started their innings positively as well but after Matt Short was dismissed, things kept getting difficult for the hosts as they kept losing wickets in regular intervals. Washington Sundar scalped three wickets, while Shivam Dube and Axar Patel shared two each which eventually helped India to clean up Australia for only 119 runs. India now cannot lose this series and Australia will look to level in the next match.Â
Out! India have roared to the driver's position in the match. Australia were losing wickets in a heap and as they headed to the death overs, Washinton Sundar scalped two wickets in two balls dismissing Marcus Stoinis and Xavier Bartlett and powered India further ahead in the game. Australia have a miraculous task in front of them now. Bartlett c and b Washington Sundar 0(1) and Stoinis lbw b Washington Sundar 17(19).
Out! Australia are in trouble now. They can barely get runs out of the Indian bowlers and they keep losing wickets. Glenn Maxwell came it at a time India were under pressure and India immediately brought on Varun Chakravarthy to counter him. Chakaravarthy succeeded by cleaning up in the last ball of his spell. Glenn Maxwell made room and went for the cut but the ball came in enough to take out his stumps. Maxwell b Varun Chakaravarthy 2(4).
Out! Josh Phillippe walks back and India are strongly in the game now. They have taken some quick wickets and have shifted the momentum towards them. Tim David's dismissal was massive and now Arshdeep Singh makes Josh Phillippe flick one in the air to the hands of the short mid-wicket. India are elated as they know Australia will be in pressure now. Philippe c Varun Chakaravarthy b Arshdeep Singh 10(10).
Out! It has been an encounter of punch and counterpunch so far. Tim David was hitting well and landed a solid blow in the same over of Shivam Dube. But Dube came back well, this time hitting the deck hard short and Tim David couldn't get on top of the bounce. His pull found the top edge and the ball just gently lobbed to the hands of the circle fielder. Crucial breakthrough for India. Tim David c Suryakumar Yadav b Shivam Dube 14(9).
Out! Two wickets in two overs and India are strongly back into the game. Australia were off to a steady start but now India have puled things back. First. Josh Inglis tried to step out and take on Axar Patel but in attempt he yorked himself and got bowled. Then Shivam Dube dismissed well-set captain Mitchell Marsh. Slower ball bowles into the surface, no pace for Marsh as he attempts the pull, skies it backward of square and Arshdeep runs around the rope to take a good catch. Mitchell Marsh c Arshdeep Singh b Shivam Dube 30(24).
India could have scalped an important wicket in the form of Mitchell Marsh but Abhishek Sharma ended up dropping the catch. Fullish delivery from Varun but dips and Marsh forcefully tries to go down the ground, doesn't get near close the contact he wanted and the ball just loops towards mid-off. Abhishek Sharma came running in and dived to take the catch. Got it in his grip momentarily but then the ball popped out of his hand when the elbows hit the ground.Â
Out! Matt Short departs and it is Axar Patel who provides the first blow. He kept the ball on the stumps and flat, Matt Short wanted to sweep it. Got down on one knee to get a hold of it but ended up missing it and although on-field umpire gave it not out initially considering it hit Short outside-off, DRS showed hitting in line and three reds.  Matthew Short lbw b Axar 25(19).
Thanks to Axar Patel's 21 off 11, India have managed to reach a decent score of 167. Nathan Ellis broke India's batting backbone, claiming three wickets, while Adam Zampa's three for downed the lower-order.Â
India have lost the momentum here with the fall of back-to-back wickets. A depends on Jitesh Sharma and Washington Sundar on how they progress from here on. The final few overs will be crucial for India to reach a par scoreÂ
Suryakumar Yadav has provided the much-needed impetus to the innings, which has been stuck with Shivam Dube in the middle. In his short stay, Yadav has already slammed 16 off 6, while Shubman Gill nears his 4th T20I fifty.Â
OUT! Nathan Ellis comes into the attack and brings an end to a poor knock by Shivam Dube. Dube was promoted to number three, but failed to leave a mark. In hindsight, India might be happy with Dube's wicket.  Shivam Dube b Nathan Ellis 22(18)
The Shivam Dube experiment has so far not worked, with the all-rounder scoring 11 off 11. The stand between Dube and Gill has yielded just 19 runs, which has curbed India's run-rate massively. Australia will be the happier of the two sides heading into the final 10 overs of India's innings.Â
India have once again experimented, and this time the management has promoted Shivam Dube at number 3, with Australia opting to bowl out Adam Zampa. Dube, too, has struggled to get going this series, and will need to showcase form with the likes of Nitish Kumar Reddy and Rinku Singh on the bench.Â
OUT! Adam Zampa in his first over, strikes first blood for Australia. Abhishek Sharma looked to take on Zampa, but the wily spinner entices Sharma to play the false show off a slower delivery, which goes straight into the hands of Tim David. Abhishek Sharma c Tim David b Zampa 28(21)
This is a perfect start for India, with Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill adding 50 runs for the first wicket in under 7 overs. The pitch is not the most placid, but batting so far has looked relatively easy.Â
Apart from that one false shot from Abhishek Sharma in the first over, both Indian openers have looked solid in the middle, and have showcased both aggression and composure. Shubman Gill, in particular has been quick to pounce on poor bowling.Â
After a quiet first over, Indian openers Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill have started to open up and treated loose balls aptly. India will hope both batters build on their start and convert the first wicket stand into a massive partnership. Australia, on the other, will hope the dropped catch of Sharma doesn't cost the team much.Â
Eventful first over, which could have seen Abhishek Sharma go back into the dressing room for a duck. Xavier Bartlett tried his best, but failed to judge the catch properly, handing the Indian opener an extra life. This is an important innings for Shubman Gill, who has been disappointment on this tour, failing to convert his starts. Â
Australia have brought in Glenn Maxwell, Adam Zampa, Josh Phillipe, and Ben Dwarshuis in place of Travis Head, Matthew Kuhnemann, Mitch Owen, and Sean Abbott into their starting XI, while India have named an unchanged side from the 3rd T20I.
Australia XI: Mitchell Marsh (c), Matthew Short, Josh Inglis (wk), Tim David, Josh Philippe, Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell, Ben Dwarshuis, Xavier Bartlett, Nathan Ellis, Adam Zampa
India XI: Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav (c), Tilak Varma, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Shivam Dube, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakaravarthy, Jasprit Bumrah
India will be hoping to keep their winning momentum going, and are unlikely to make any changes to their XI. The pressure will be on Suryakumar Yadav and other middle-order batters to come good in the business end of the series. Australia will be without the services of Travis Head, but will have the veteran Glenn Maxwell among their ranks to draft into the XI. It will also be interesting to see if Australia hands T20I debut to Mahli Beardman.

Australia National Cricket Team: Mitchell Marsh (c), Matthew Short, Tim David, Josh Inglis (wk), Marcus Stoinis, Mitchell Owen, Xavier Bartlett, Tanveer Sangha, Matthew Kuhnemann, Mahli Beardman, Josh Philippe, Nathan Ellis, Glenn Maxwell, Ben Dwarshuis
