India resume their innings after the lunch break. The partnership between Pujara and Kohli is nearing the 100-run mark, it is worth 99 at the moment. Important session this for England. They will have to bowl well and stop the run flow here.

India are in great position in the ongoing third Test at Trent Bridge. On day two, India were bowled out for 329. And then, the visiting bowlers dished out an impressive performance to bundled out England for just 161. Hardik Pandya emerged as the star with the ball as he picked a five-wicket haul. India then came out to bat in their second innings and scored 124 for two. At stumps, they were effectively leading by 292 runs. Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli will look to extend India’s lead on day three and put England under further pressure. This is the best opportunity India have got in this series so far. Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul added 60 runs for the opening wicket to lay a decent foundation. Meanwhile, the onus will be on Pujara and Kohli to take India forward.

India will be looking to set a target of over 400 for England and they are in a great position, thanks to the first innings lead. England, on the other hand, will have to do something magical to make a comeback in the Test.
