STUMPS on Day 2! What a day it has been and India would be the happier side out of the two teams here. A total of 16 wickets fell on Day 2 and it seems that we might get a result by tomorrow. India resumed at 37/1 but were bowled out for 189, gaining a 30-run lead. KL Rahul was the top-scorer for India with 39 runs, while Washington Sundar (29), Rishabh Pant (27) and Ravindra Jadeja (27) made contributions. Simon Harmer was the best bowler for South Africa with four wickets. South Africa, in their second innings, had an even poorer batting effort, being restricted to 93/7. Ravindra Jadeja was the pick of the Indian bowlers with four wickets for 29 runs, while Kuldeep Yadav clinched two and Axar Patel got one. Apart from Temba Bavuma, who was unbeaten on 29, none of the other South Africa batters could make any impact. South Africa have a 63-run lead and will hope to set a target of at least 120-150 to challenge on a track like this.

OUT! Ravindra Jadeja provides India with another breakthrough. Wiaan Mulder's 30-ball stay comes to an end, who looked more and more comfortable in the middle with each passing ball. Captain Temba Bavuma and all-rounder Wiaan Mulder will want to ensure South Africa get a sizeable lead, given how the track is crumbling, and batting his becoming difficult with each passing over. It will be important for India to take wickets regularly and not ensure a massive lead for South Africa.

OUT! India starts the session with another wicket, and the experienced Aiden Markram falls. OUT! Kuldeep Yadav comes into the attack and provides India a breakthrough.  Ryan Rickelton stayed inside his crease and got beaten by spin, with the batter expecting Yadav's ball to turn. South Africa have already managed to cut down India's lead in half in merely 5 overs. It has not been the easiest of wickets to bat on, but runs have not stopped flowing. Aiden Markram and Ryan Rickelton are in for a stressful remaining session with tea on the horizon. 

Aiden Markram and Ryam Rickelton will hope to provide South Africa a solid start, much like the duo did in the first innings. With India taking a 30-run lead, South Africa's first target would be to overcome the lead without losing any wickets. India will start with a pacer and spinner. 

OUT! This has been a crucial knock from Axar Patel, which sees India take a  30-run lead. South Africa have been able to take wickets at regular intervals, denying India any momentum on Day 2, with Simon Harmer doing most of the damage, picking four wickets. Shubman Gill will not come out to bat. 

OUT! India's batting has been unspeakable after the first hour of play, with batters falling like ninepins against spin. The track might be tough, but it's not at all unplayable. Despite the fall of wickets in the last few hours of play, India have managed to take the lead, having lost as many as four wickets in the process. All eyes will be only Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel to rebuild the innings for India, which has crumbled away. Still no news on Shubman Gill's neck injury. 

OUT! Just what South Africa wanted, Simon Harmer removes Dhruv Jurel, who looked to up the ante. Jurel ended up chipping the ball back to Harmer, who invited the wicketkeeper-batter to play on the on-side and get a leading edge to the bowler. Dhruv Jurel c and b Harmer 14(14)

Dhruv Jurel and Ravindra Jadeja will look to consolidate the innings for India, with the home side on the brink of taking the crucial lead. South Africa will bank on making use of the uneven pitch in the second session and deny India a massive lead. 

The second session of play on Day 2 was fascinating, with South Africa making a comeback against India, picking as many as three wickets, while Indian batters played their shots. The pitch played its part, with spinners getting assistance, which saw KL Rahul miss out on a half-century. 

OUT! One wicket brings two, as KL Rahul falls 11 short of his 21st half-century. Keshav Maharaj found assistance, which finally ended Rahul's 119-ball stay in the middle as Aiden Markram claims a sharp catch. 

Shubman Gill is off the field and is receiving treatment for his neck issue, which the batter was seen holding after hitting a four off Simon Harmer. KL Rahul is nearing his 21st half-century, and has been joined by Rishabh Pant in the middle.
