Most Wickets in T20Is for India: Yuzvendra Chahal Equals Ravichandran Ashwin's Record, Becomes Joint-Highest Wicket-Taker

Yuzvendra Chahal bagged his 52nd T20I international wickets during India vs West Indies 1st T20I and became India’s joint leading wicket-taker in T20Is. The right-arm spinner dismissed Shimron Hetmyer (56) and Kieron Pollard (37) in his four overs slot in IND vs West Indies 1st T20I in Hyderabad. Yuzvendra Chahal equalled Ravichandran Ashwin's record to become joint-leading wicket-taker for India in T20Is with 52 wickets. Yuzvendra Chahal had 50 T20I wickets in his pockets ahead of India vs West Indies T20I series 2019. He was just three wickets away from becoming India's leading wicket-taking bowler and two wickets to become joint-leading. Now, Ravichandra Ashwin has 52 wickets in 46 innings in T20I wickets so far and Jasprit Bumrah has 51 wickets from 42 innings. Bhuvneshwar Kumar now holds the 4th spot with 39 wickets in 40 innings. Hardik Pandya holds the 5th spot in India's leading wicket-takers in T20I cricket with 38 wickets in 39 innings.

India vs West Indies Series 2019 consists of three T20Is and an equal number of ODIs. The second and the third T20I matches will be played on December 8 (Sunday) and December 11 (Wednesday). The T20I series will be followed by three ODI series 2019.
