Ravi Shastri is expected to continue in his role as the head coach of the Indian National Cricket Team when BCCI announce the names late on Friday evening. Shastri, who is in his second stint as the head coach, has been given a 45-day extension following the conclusion of his contract after ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. He was named in the six-man shortlist, including Mike Hesson, Tom Moody and Lalchand Rajput, selected by the Cricket Advisory Committee and is set to be interviewed over Skype. Shastri is currently with the Indian team in the Caribbean Island and just completed a double series victory over West Indies on their own soil. Shastri was appointed as the head coach in 2017 after Anil Kumble’s resignation and has since led India to no 1 ranking in Tests and ODIs.
