Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Highlights And Cricket Score 19th Match - T20 Commentary

End of Over : 20.0 MI: 136/7

137 to win then. Was it poor bowling from Hyderabad towards the end? Too many full tosses. Or was the ball slipping out of their hands? The slipping aspect indicates that dew could play a key role. The pitch is slow though. Too many questions. Let the game resume!

Excellent bowling from Hyderabad. They might not be happy given the final 2 overs but for 90 percent of the innings, they had their hands on Mumbai's throat. Mohammad Nabi was the most influential bowler, with 1/13 in his 4 overs, choking the visitors in the middle period. Rashid was intelligently played out, as usual.

That was Rashid Khan's point of view. Two ways to look at this score. Mumbai make only 136. Or Mumbai rocket to 136 after being under 100 in the 18th over. No batsman showed enough patience to stick on the wicket, clearly aiming for more than they should have. Kieron Pollard though hung in there and took full toll in the last 2 overs, albeit the visitors would not have even reached this much had it not been for his dropped catch by Rashid when on 8.

Rashid Khan is having a chat with Michael Slater. The Afghan star says they dropped quite a few catches in the end and hence Mumbai scored around 30 runs more. Mentions the wicket looks good though and feels they bowled well, gaining assistance from the bounce on it. On being asked whether Hyderabad can chase it down, Rashid hopes the openers can continue their good form and take the team home. Ends by saying he is happy with the support the players are getting and that makes them strive for more. On his dropped catch, Khan looks a bit sad. Says that bad fielding is what disappoints him more, adding further that he would rather have a bad day while bowling but not in the field.

39 runs in the last 2 overs. Ouch. Have Hyderabad given away 20 runs too many? The pitch looks to be on the slower side but towards the end, dew came into play which might bring the smile on the faces of Hyderabad's batsmen.

19.6 4

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Kieron Pollard. MISFIELD, FOUR! Mumbai end on 136/7! Bonus runs for them. Another full toss from Bhuvi, Pollard just hammers this down to long on. The fielder comes running in, Deepak Hooda it is, looks to stop it but cannot quite get to the pitch of the ball. The ball hits his left leg and deflects into the ropes behind!

19.5 6

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Kieron Pollard. DROPPED, SIX! Oh dear... Mohammad Nabi, of all the people. The coolest customer in the Hyderabad tank. A full toss, around leg stump, Pollard swings hard but does not quite get the required elevation. The ball travels towards deep square leg where Nabi runs to his right and looks to catch it but the power on that, makes him lose control. Ends up parrying it over the ropes.

19.4 2

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Kieron Pollard. Now he runs. That too, twice. Another jammer from Kumar, full and swinging in, KP pushes it towards long on and charges back for the second.

19.3 0

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Kieron Pollard. Another inswinger, almost a yorker, pushed down to long on. Pollard does not run.

19.2 2

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Kieron Pollard. Nice riposte from Bhuvi. Goes for the inswinger, KP looks to flick but gets a thick leading edge wide of point. Two runs taken.

19.1 4

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Kieron Pollard. FOUR! CLOUT! No, no, no. Not to this man. He will butcher you. Width outside off and the length is short. What do you expect? Slapped over cover for a boundary. 5 balls left...

19.1 wd

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Kieron Pollard. WIDE. Pressure on the bowler. Expects Pollard to back away and fires it down the leg side. But Kieron stays where he is.

Final over then. 20 came in the previous one. Cannot rule out another 20 with Pollard at the crease. Can Mumbai get to 140? Or does Bhuvi have plans for the West Indian?

End of Over : 19 20 Runs MI: 117/7
18.6 1

Siddarth Kaul to Kieron Pollard. He is happy to keep strike as he pushes this full toss down the ground towards long off for a run. A very expensive over, 20 from it. Can this be the momentum changing over?

18.5 0

Siddarth Kaul to Kieron Pollard. Misses out there does Pollard! Another full toss and outside off, Pollard looks to go over covers but fails to put bat on ball. Now then one ball to go, will Pollard go for a biggie or will he be happy to take a single and keep strike?

18.4 6

Siddarth Kaul to Kieron Pollard. SIX! Third in the over! Another West Indian clearing the ropes with ease here. Another full toss, Pollard says thank you very much and hits it right over the mid-wicket fence. Makes the Free Hit count. 2 more balls to go.

18.4 1

Siddarth Kaul to Kieron Pollard. NO BALL! Kaul has overstepped. Maybe in the attempt to try harder. It is another full toss though and Pollard fails to take full toll of it this time as he finds covers. Free Hit coming up though.

18.3 6

Siddarth Kaul to Kieron Pollard. SIX! A freebie and Pollard takes full toll of it. It is on the pads, Kieron flicks it nonchalantly and into the mid-wicket stand. 12 from the first three balls. Pressure on the bowler here.

18.2 0

Siddarth Kaul to Kieron Pollard. Excellent comeback! A yorker outside off, not a lot you can do with that. Pollard fails to put bat on ball.

18.1 6

Siddarth Kaul to Kieron Pollard. SIX! HUGE! A one-handed biggie! Such is the power of this man. It is the slower one and outside off. Pollard seems to have been foxed by it. He is a touch early into the shot and hence one hand comes off. He though still gets good enough connection and it sails over the long on fence. Once again perfect start to the over. Need a few more.

Alzarri Joseph, the debutant, comes out to bat.

End of Over : 18 5 Runs MI: 97/7
17.6 W

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Rahul Chahar. OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! A handy innings by Chahar though comes to the end. Can't blame him for this shot though. It was the last ball so you would not expect Pollard to take a single and hence, it was a free hit for him. He swings to this delivery outside off but only manages an outside edge to Bairstow.

17.5 0

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Rahul Chahar. Similar length and Chahar again fails to connect it.

17.4 0

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Rahul Chahar. That's a peach of a delivery. Kumal bowls a length ball shaping just away form the batsman, Chahar pokes at it but misses to get bat on ball.

17.3 4

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Rahul Chahar. FOUR! That's his third boundary and all three have come by a late cut. Kumar bowls it on a length outside off, Chahar late cuts it and the ball races to the third man fence. Some handy runs here by the batsman given the total Mumbai have.

17.2 1

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Kieron Pollard. DROPPED! This could have been the final nail in the coffin but Rashid drops it. Kumar bowls a length ball outside off, Pollard lofts it above covers. Rashid in the deep runs in and goes low to take it but fails to hang onto it.

17.1 0

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Kieron Pollard. Starts with a slower delivery outside off, Pollard plays at it but fails to connect.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is back into the attack.

End of Over : 17 12 Runs MI: 92/6
16.6 2

Rashid Khan to Rahul Chahar. Cheeky again and it comes off. Not a boundary but vital two runs. Chahar once again plays it very late and guides it through the right of Warner at slip this time. Two taken. 12 from Rashid's last over but he took the big wicket of Pandya. Another very good day for him, his figures read 4-0-27-1.

16.5 0

Rashid Khan to Rahul Chahar. This is fired on the stumps, Chahar gets right behind the line and defends it out.

16.4 4

Rashid Khan to Rahul Chahar. FOUR! What a way to get off the mark and what a shot. Very clever! It is bowled outside off. Chahar waits for it and then plays it late past the slip fielder. Uses the pace of the bowler nicely and it races to the fence.

Rahul Chahar is the new man in.

16.3 W

Rashid Khan to Hardik Pandya. OUT! Rashid has the last laugh! Hardik though can feel a little unfortunate here. He had hit that nicely. He brings out the slog sweep but hits it flat and in the air towards the man in the deep at mid-wicket. Shankar there takes a good catch. The idea was good but the ball may have just hurried onto him and hence, he did not get the elevation he wanted. The dangerous Pandya departs. Now the onus of taking Mumbai to a decent total depends on Kieron Pollard.

16.2 0

Rashid Khan to Hardik Pandya. Good fielding! Saved two at least! This is very full and on off, Pandya hammers it back towards the bowler. Rashid sticks his left leg out and manages to stop it.

16.1 6

Rashid Khan to Hardik Pandya. SIX! That is colossal! Hardik Pandya, you beauty! Picks the googly and then goes with the turn. Hits it right off the middle and into the long on stands. Ideal start to the over, need to make this count.

End of Over : 16 5 Runs MI: 80/5
15.6 0

Sandeep Sharma to Kieron Pollard. On a length outside off, Pollard shows full face of the bat and plays it back to the bowler.

15.6 wd

Sandeep Sharma to Kieron Pollard. Wide! Misses his line this time as he bowls it way down the leg side. Pollards lets it go to be wided.

15.5 1

Sandeep Sharma to Hardik Pandya. Length ball on the pads, Hardik plays it through mid-wicket for a run.

15.4 0

Sandeep Sharma to Hardik Pandya. Bowls a knuckle ball this time as Pandya pokes at it. The ball shapes away a bit and beats the outside edge.

15.3 1

Sandeep Sharma to Kieron Pollard. Full and outside off, Pollard drives it to mid off and takes a run.

15.2 1

Sandeep Sharma to Hardik Pandya. Fuller this time on off, Pandya moves across and drives it straight past the bowler for a run as long on cuts it out.

15.1 1

Sandeep Sharma to Kieron Pollard. Starts off with a length ball outside off, Pollard pushes it towards long on and takes a run.

Sandeep Sharma returns.

End of Over : 15 3 Runs MI: 75/5
14.6 1

Rashid Khan to Kieron Pollard. Around off, Pollard has a wild swing. The ball goes off the inner half of the bat towards deep mid-wicket. Just a run.

14.5 1

Rashid Khan to Hardik Pandya. Works it through mid-wicket for a single.

14.4 0

Rashid Khan to Hardik Pandya. BEAUTY! That is a terrific ball. How did that miss the stumps? Rashid has his hands on his head. Pollard asks Hardik something and he responds with a thumbs up. Looped up around off, Hardik lunges to flick but is beaten comprehensively. Luckily for Pandya, the ball pitches, turns and then bounces past the off stump!

14.3 0

Rashid Khan to Hardik Pandya. Outside off, pushed straight to cover.

14.2 1

Rashid Khan to Kieron Pollard. Around middle, pushed through mid-wicket for a single.

14.1 0

Rashid Khan to Kieron Pollard. A jaffa. Tossed up outside off, spinning away, Pollard pushes at it loosely and is beaten.

The strategic break has been signaled! Hyderabad continue to be on top here. Mumbai however, have their best hitters out in the middle. They would be expecting them to deliver and somehow get them to the 150-run mark. However, they need to go at more than 10 per over. However, the Ishan Kishan decision could hurt the visitors as they will now have to delay their big shots. The hosts on the other hand, will want to break this stand as quickly as possible.

End of Over : 14 5 Runs MI: 72/5
13.6 1

Siddarth Kaul to Kieron Pollard. Kaul sees that Pollard is walking down the track so bowls it short and rearing up on Pollard's shoulder. Pollard does well to keep it out to the on side and takes a run.

13.5 1

Siddarth Kaul to Hardik Pandya. Fuller on middle, Pandya drives it to mid on and changes strike.

13.4 0

Siddarth Kaul to Hardik Pandya. Excellent pace bowling this from Kaul here. He bowls it quick and outside off, Pandya pokes at it but the ball seams away and misses the outside edge of the bat.

13.3 2

Siddarth Kaul to Hardik Pandya. Another length ball outside off, Pandya pushes at it but the ball takes the outside edge and goes towards third man. They take a brace.

13.2 0

Siddarth Kaul to Hardik Pandya. Play and a miss. Short ball outside off, Pandya plays at it but fails to connect.

13.1 1

Siddarth Kaul to Kieron Pollard. Length ball outside off, Pollard pushes it towards cover and takes a quick single.

End of Over : 13 3 Runs MI: 67/5
12.6 2

Rashid Khan to Hardik Pandya. Outside off, punched through the covers for a couple. Big over in the context of the game.

Hardik Pandya walks in next.

12.5 W

Rashid Khan to Ishan Kishan. OUT! Kishan has been adjudged run out. Adjudged. Bizarre dismissal. Let us go step by step. First, it is a googly from Rashid. Kishan looks to work it to the leg side but the ball spins away, hits the high portion of the bat and goes off the leading edge to cover. Kishan comes halfway down the track but is sent back because Pollard barely moves a muscle. Vijay Shankar gets across and then returns a decent throw to Bairstow. Here comes the controversy. Bairstow looks to collect but deflects the bails with his right elbow. Then, with the throw, he looks to disturb the stumps again, behind him. But he does not UPROOT them. The off stump just comes off. Kishan has to dive in and while this is true that he is short when the stump comes off, Bairstow has not held the stump in his hands! The rule says that one has to uproot the stump collecting it in one hand and then the ball in the other. The third umpire has a couple of looks and then gives it OUT. Interestingly, replays show that David Warner signalled to his team that it was not out. Tough luck for Kishan.

A run out appeal has been taken upstairs! Bairstow though seems to have dislodged the bails with his hands though.

12.4 0

Rashid Khan to Ishan Kishan. That was close! Rashid bowls a tossed up yorker. Kishan goes for the flick and plays it to short mid-wicket. Replays later show that it was close to the toe of the batsman. But Hyderabad have already lost a review so can't challenge this decision.

12.3 0

Rashid Khan to Ishan Kishan. Kishan goes on the front foot and keeps this out.

12.2 1

Rashid Khan to Kieron Pollard. Tossed up on middle, Pollard punches it to mid on for a single.

12.1 0

Rashid Khan to Kieron Pollard. Leg spinner outside off, Pollard pushes it back to the bowler.

End of Over : 12 3 Runs MI: 64/4
11.6 0

Siddarth Kaul to Ishan Kishan. Attacks the off pole and this has been kept out off the front foot. Another good over for the hosts. Just the three runs and a wicket from it.

11.5 1

Siddarth Kaul to Kieron Pollard. Takes a few steps ahead and then works it through square leg for a single.

Kieron Pollard is the new man in.

11.4 W

Siddarth Kaul to Krunal Pandya. OUT! Another one bites the dust! The short ball does the trick. This is a very good short ball. On this slow surface, Kaul really got this one to zip through. It is on middle. Pandya is hurried into the pull shot. He only manages a top edge which lobs towards the keeper who takes an excellent catch. Kaul is pumped and Hyderabad stay on top.

11.3 1

Siddarth Kaul to Ishan Kishan. Nicely played but just for a single. This is short and it is the slower one. Kishan waits for it and then guides it down to third man for a single.

11.2 0

Siddarth Kaul to Ishan Kishan. Good length and on middle, Kishan defends it onto the ground.

11.1 1

Siddarth Kaul to Krunal Pandya. A little too straight, zips off the surface. It is worked around the corner and the batsmen take a run.

End of Over : 11 9 Runs MI: 61/3
10.6 4

Rashid Khan to Ishan Kishan. FOUR! Lucky! Kishan goes on the back foot to this flighted ball and plays an educational edge which goes past the diving Warner at first slip and into the third man fence.

Siddarth Kaul is back into the attack.

10.5 1

Rashid Khan to Krunal Pandya. Fuller on off, driven towards cover for a single.

10.5 wd

Rashid Khan to Krunal Pandya. Wide! That is unlucky for the bowler because it surely hit something but the umpire could not see that and signalled it as a wide. Rashid bowls it on the leg stump line, Pandya goes for the flick and gets an inside edge onto his pads and the ball goes fine. They take two in the process.

10.4 0

Rashid Khan to Krunal Pandya. Not out! Googly, pitching on leg and coming in. Krunal goes for the sweep but fails to connect. Bairstow behind the stumps takes the bails off and appeals. Replays show that Pandya's back foot never left the crease.

An appeal for a stumping has been taken upstairs. Krunal is the man in question but Bairstow does not seem to be confident.

10.3 0

Rashid Khan to Krunal Pandya. Flatter on midde, Krunal flicks it but straight to mid-wicket.

10.2 0

Rashid Khan to Krunal Pandya. Another quicker ball on middle, Pandya punches it off his back foot to the off side.

10.1 1

Rashid Khan to Ishan Kishan. Starts off with a quicker one on off, Kishan punches it to covers for a single.

Rashid Khan is on now.

End of Over : 10 4 Runs MI: 52/3
9.6 0

Mohammad Nabi to Krunal Pandya. Another flatter delivery outside off, Krunal punches it to point. Nabi has been consistent this season and once again finishes an economical spell with 4-0-13-1.

9.5 0

Mohammad Nabi to Krunal Pandya. Flatter on off, Krunal pushes it towards cover.

9.4 1

Mohammad Nabi to Ishan Kishan. Flighted on middle, Kishan flicks it to mid-wicket and changes strike.

9.3 1

Mohammad Nabi to Krunal Pandya. Strays on the pads to Pandya, who wrists it down to square leg for a single.

9.2 0

Mohammad Nabi to Krunal Pandya. Pitching on off, Krunal keeps it out.

9.1 2

Mohammad Nabi to Krunal Pandya. Bowls a flat one on the pads, Pandya flicks it to square leg and takes a quick brace.

End of Over : 9 6 Runs MI: 48/3
8.6 0

Siddarth Kaul to Ishan Kishan. Full and around off, watchfully defended.

8.5 4

Siddarth Kaul to Ishan Kishan. FOUR! That is some stroke. Wow-a-wow. It is not all that short and not much width given either from Kaul. But what does Kishan do? Waits for the ball to come to him, then arches back and steers it behind point. Third man starts to run to his left but eventually, comes second best.

8.4 1

Siddarth Kaul to Krunal Pandya. Outside off, punched through point for a single.

8.3 0

Siddarth Kaul to Krunal Pandya. Around middle, pushed towards cover.

Strategic break. Okay. Are Mumbai trying to do too much? Their approach suggests that they are eyeing a huge score, considering Warner and Bairstow in the opposition. But the track does not look like a 200-one. It is on the slower side and 150-160 could prove match-winning. Partnerships are the key. Here comes KRUNAL PANDYA.

8.2 W

Siddarth Kaul to Quinton de Kock. OUT! Caught in the deep! De Kock falls now and Mumbai have lost their top 3 inside 10 overs. It seemed to be a terrific shot at first. Probably at the Wankhede, this would have been taken in the crowd. But at Uppal, the boundaries are longer. A length ball, around middle and leg, angling away, Quinton pulls this with absolute ease over mid-wicket. However, to his dismay, he finds Deepak Hooda waiting for the catch patiently. QdK falls for 19 and Mumbai are 43/3.

8.1 1

Siddarth Kaul to Ishan Kishan. Outside off, pushed towards point for a quick single.

Siddarth Kaul to bowl now.

End of Over : 8 4 Runs MI: 42/2
7.6 1

Mohammad Nabi to Ishan Kishan. Slower through the air, pitching on middle, Kishan goes forward and flicks it to mid-wicket for a single. Just the 4 singles off the over.

7.5 0

Mohammad Nabi to Ishan Kishan. Flatter and quicker on the off stump line, Ishan punches it towards cover.

7.4 0

Mohammad Nabi to Ishan Kishan. Bowls a full ball on middle, Kishan comes down the track and keeps it out.

7.3 1

Mohammad Nabi to Quinton de Kock. Continues bowling to him on the pads, de Kock sweeps him again behind square for a single.

7.2 1

Mohammad Nabi to Ishan Kishan. Tossed up on off, Kishan pushes it to covers for a single.

7.1 1

Mohammad Nabi to Quinton de Kock. Starts with a full ball on the pads, de Kock goes on his knee and sweeps it behind square for a single.

End of Over : 7 8 Runs MI: 38/2
6.6 0

Yusuf Pathan to Ishan Kishan. A dot to end but a good one for the visitors. The last ball is on off and Kishan guides it to point.

6.5 1

Yusuf Pathan to Quinton de Kock. Another one which is fired in on the pads, de Kock works it through mid-wicket and a run is taken.

6.4 1

Yusuf Pathan to Ishan Kishan. A little too straight and this is helped around the corner for a run.

6.3 1

Yusuf Pathan to Quinton de Kock. The slowness of the wicket comes into play there. This is tossed up on off, de Kock looks to hit it through the off side. The ball though comes off slow of the surface. It goes off the inner half down towards long on for a single.

6.2 4

Yusuf Pathan to Quinton de Kock. FOUR! A gift there for de Kock. It is down the leg side and it is the quicker one. Quinton says thank you very much and then helps it on its way through backward square leg for a boundary.

6.1 1

Yusuf Pathan to Ishan Kishan. Slightly shorter on middle, this is pushed down to wide long on for a single.

Yusuf Pathan is on now.

End of Over : 6 2 Runs MI: 30/2
5.6 0

Mohammad Nabi to Quinton de Kock. Bowls a flatter one outside off, de Kock plays a square cut but straight to the point fielder. 2 runs off the over.

5.5 0

Mohammad Nabi to Quinton de Kock. Floated on off, de Kock drives it but straight to covers.

5.4 0

Mohammad Nabi to Quinton de Kock. Flatter one on off, de Kock drives it towards mid off.

5.3 1

Mohammad Nabi to Ishan Kishan. Tossed up ball outside off, Kishan pushes it to mid off for a single.

5.2 0

Mohammad Nabi to Ishan Kishan. Full ball outside off, Kishan keeps it out.

5.1 1

Mohammad Nabi to Quinton de Kock. Starts from round the wicket and bowls a flatter one pitching on middle and going down with the angle, de Kock flicks it behind square for a single.

Ishan Kishan is the new man in.

End of Over : 5 6 Runs MI: 28/2
4.6 W

Sandeep Sharma to Suryakumar Yadav. OUT! The impact is umpire's call and hitting is also umpire's call. Mumbai lose their second and the change of ends for Sandeep Sharma has worked. Another good wicket as we know how good Yadav has been for the visitors. A audacious shot that. He looks to sweep this knuckle ball on off but misses to get hit on the front pad. The umpire agrees with the appeal by the Hyderabad players. Yadav takes it upstairs. Replays roll in and they show the on-field call is the right one. Mumbai do retain their review but are in trouble here.

Have Hyderabad got another? Yadav has been given out LBW. He has reviewed. Impact may just save him here.

4.5 2

Sandeep Sharma to Suryakumar Yadav. A little too straight, this is flicked through mid-wicket and two runs taken.

4.4 0

Sandeep Sharma to Suryakumar Yadav. The slower one almost did Yadav in there. It is on a length and around off. Yadav is a touch early into the drive. It is hit on the bounce to mid off. Warner there hits the stumps at the non-striker's end but the de Kock is well in.

4.3 0

Sandeep Sharma to Suryakumar Yadav. On the stumps again and Yadav pushes it back to the bowler.

4.2 0

Sandeep Sharma to Suryakumar Yadav. A little bit of away movement there. It is also fuller in length. Yadav strokes it to covers.

4.1 4

Sandeep Sharma to Suryakumar Yadav. FOUR! Welcome back into the attack, Sandeep. A terrific shot. The back foot punch straight down the ground. Not easy to play those. It is shortish and around off, Yadav stands tall and powerfully punches it past mid off. It races away.

Change of ends for Sandeep Sharma.

End of Over : 4 3 Runs MI: 22/1
3.6 1

Mohammad Nabi to Suryakumar Yadav. Flighted on the pads, Yadav flicks it to mid-wicket for a single.

3.5 0

Mohammad Nabi to Suryakumar Yadav. Not out! That could have been two in two but Yadav has made it inside the crease. Nabi bowls a flatter one outside off, that goes straighter with the arm, Yadav goes to push at it but plays down the wrong line. Bairstow behind the stumps takes the bails off quickly. The decision is taken upstairs. Replays show that Yadav lifted his foot for a second but planted it back to the ground quickly.

Is that a stumping? Bairstow is confident. Suryakumar is emotionless. Referred upstairs...

3.4 W

Mohammad Nabi to Rohit Sharma. OUT! Rohit holes out! The dropped catch has not cost a lot. Nabi strikes. The bowling change has worked wonders. Not such a great delivery though. It is slightly short and on middle, it is turning back in. Rohit look to pull it but it is not right off the middle. The boundaries here are long and Deepak Hooda in the deep runs in and takes a good catch. The Mumbai skipper fails to make an impact and a much-needed wicket for the hosts as the two seemed to get going.

3.3 1

Mohammad Nabi to Quinton de Kock. Tossed up outside off, de Kock plays a square cut to it. Kaul at point does well to stop it and keep it down to one.

3.2 0

Mohammad Nabi to Quinton de Kock. That's a slider, from round the wicket, de Kock nudges forward and keeps it out.

3.1 1

Mohammad Nabi to Rohit Sharma. Bowls it on the legs, there was a hint of turn on this one, Sharma flicks it to the on side and takes a run.

Mohammad Nabi is introduced into the attack.

End of Over : 3 9 Runs MI: 19/0
2.6 0

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Quinton de Kock. A dot to end! A good over though for the visitors. 9 from it again. De Kock takes a couple of steps ahead bu Kumar bowls it closer to the body, cramping the batsman for room. De Kock pushes it back to the bowler.

2.5 2

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Quinton de Kock. A couple now! Another excellent shot. Makes use of the fielding restrictions. This is a length ball from Kumar. De Kock lofts it over mid on. It is not right off the middle but enough to get two.

2.4 6

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Quinton de Kock. SIX! Scratch what I wrote last! He too joins the party with a huge one. Trademark de Kock this. He shuffles across a little and hence the line is now a straighter one. He picks it up and lofts it over the square leg fence.

2.3 0

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Quinton de Kock. Good length delivery and on off, Quinton pushes it to covers. The roles seem to have been reversed today, de Kock is playing cautiously to begin with whereas, Rohit is going after the bowlers.

2.2 0

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Quinton de Kock. A little too straight on middle, de Kock looks to work it around the corner but misses and gets hit high on the pads.

2.1 1

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Rohit Sharma. OUCH! That must have hurt. The batters though do take a run eventually. Sharma looks to be innovative as he tries to play the paddle. The ball though is outside off, he tries to drag it but the ball hits the top edge and then onto his chest. De Kock is halfway down the wicket as he wants a run. He then stops though but Rohit responds and in the end they complete it. Kumar did have a shy at the non-striker's end but misses.

End of Over : 2 9 Runs MI: 10/0
1.6 1

Sandeep Sharma to Rohit Sharma. Continues to bowl full on the pads, Sharma flicks it uppishly towards short mid-wicket. The ball goes past him from his left and in the deep for a run. 9 runs from the over. A good one for Mumbai after the first over in which only a run was scored.

1.5 0

Sandeep Sharma to Rohit Sharma. Fuller outside off, Rohit Sharma drives it straight to mid on.

1.4 1

Sandeep Sharma to Quinton de Kock. On the pads to de Kock, who flicks it towards square leg for a run.

1.3 1

Sandeep Sharma to Rohit Sharma. Full ball on the legs, Rohit flicks it to mid-wicket and takes off for the run. In the end, makes it with a dive to get in the crease.

1.2 6

Sandeep Sharma to Rohit Sharma. SIX! CLUNK! That is an absolute monster. That is why you cannot drop people of this caliber. This is right in the slot, full and outside off, Rohit gets down and sweeps it massively over square leg!

1.1 0

Sandeep Sharma to Rohit Sharma. Starts off with a length ball on the pads, Rohit flicks it behind square leg straight to the fielder.

Sandeep Sharma to bowl from the other end.

End of Over : 1 1 Runs MI: 1/0
0.6 1

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Rohit Sharma. DROPPED! Kaul has put down a sitter! How costly will this prove? It would have been a huge wicket. Rush of blood there as Rohit dances down the track and heaves it across the line. He only manages a top edge which goes high up in the air towards third man. Kaul seems to have judged it well but is falling onto the ground while taking it. In the end he spills it. He straightaway indicates that he lost it in the lights. The batsmen run one in the meantime. Could have been a wicket maiden this. Nevertheless, a very good first over by Kumar.

0.5 0

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Rohit Sharma. NOT OUT! A big inside edge! Hyderabad have lost a review in the first over itself! A waste of a review to be honest. Kumar wasn't very sure, Pandey from point did indicate there was an inside edge but they still went with the review. The inswinger from Kumar and it is full. It starts from outside off. Sharma looks to drive but gets an inside edge onto his pads. An appeal follows and the umpire shakes his head. They go for the review and there is a spike on Ultra Edge.

A review early on! A huge shout for an LBW has been turned down. Hyderabad have reviewed. Rohit is the man in question. There seems to be an inside edge.

0.4 0

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Rohit Sharma. Another nice looking drive but straight to the man at covers. The ball seems to be coming back on the bat nicely here.

0.3 0

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Rohit Sharma. A good confident drive that! Length and around off, Rohit strokes it right off the middle but straight to mid off.

0.2 0

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Rohit Sharma. A little bit of away movement this time, it is on the off pole. Rohit blocks it out.

0.1 0

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Rohit Sharma. Starts off with an incoming delivery but the line is a little too straight. Rohit works it to mid-wicket.

We are all set for the action to begin! The Hyderabad players are seen in a huddle and now they make their way out to the middle. They are now followed by the Mumbai openers, Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma. The right-hander will take strike and he will face Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Here we go...

Mumbai (Playing XI) - Quinton de Kock(WK), Rohit Sharma(C), Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan (IN), Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, Jason Behrendorff, Rahul Chahar, Alzarri Joseph (debut), Jasprit Bumrah.

Hyderabad (Playing XI) - David Warner, Jonny Bairstow(WK), Vijay Shankar, Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, Yusuf Pathan, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar (C), Sandeep Sharma, Siddarth Kaul.

Mumbai skipper, Rohit Sharma, says he wanted to bat first. States they wanted to try a different strategy. Mentions they have a few plans against the opposition and they now have to execute it. Admits the last game was a great win. Further adds they have a very good bowling attack and they back their bowlers to defend any total. Informs there are two changes as Lasith Malinga goes out for Alzarri Joseph and Yuvraj Singh is replaced by Ishan Kishan.

Hyderabad skipper, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, says they want to bowl first. Informs Williamson is close to 100 percent but they do not want to risk him. Informs they are unchanged.

TOSS - Hyderabad win the toss and they elect to field first.

Hello and welcome to the coverage of game no. 19 and it is a clash between the high flying Hyderabad and Mumbai who seemed to have got going in their last game. We have quite a few exciting battles on our hand here - Warner and Bairstow against arguably the best T20 bowler in the world, Bumrah. We have Pollard and Pandya, who are good players of spin against Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi. All-in-all we can surely expect an exciting contest. Both the teams will be eager to win this game, especially Mumbai as a victory will see them break into the top 4. Stay tuned for the toss and teams in a while.

End of Over : 17.4 SRH: 96/10

The table flips again! Saturday's double-header saw Chennai trump Punjab while Mumbai demolished Hyderabad defending a modest total. That sees Dhoni's side top the table for now, with 8 points from 5 matches. Hyderabad are in second while Mumbai slot into the top 4. Sunday's double header sees Bangalore host Delhi at 4 pm local, followed by the Rajasthan-Kolkata clash at 8 pm local. ADIOS! TAKE CARE!

ALZARRI JOSEPH HAS BEEN NAMED THE MAN OF THE MATCH FOR HIS 6/12. Smiles and says that this is a dream start. On his inclusion in the playing XI, Joseph says that he just looked to keep it simple and do the basics. On muted celebrations on the David Warner wicket, Alzarri says that he was more focussed on the team winning at that point of time.

Victorious Mumbai captain, Rohit Sharma, admits that he is very pleased with the result in the last 2 games. Coyly says that 136 was not a great score but the bowlers held their nerves and gave it their all. Is full of praise for the debutant Alzarri Joseph for bringing his confidence from the CPL and the Windies cricket team. Agrees that the Mumbai batsmen played rash strokes on a wicket which was very sticky. However, once they got to 136, he backed his bowlers to come and defend that. Also admits that the Mumbai think-tank did plan to exploit the brittle middle order of Hyderabad and once the openers were dismissed, Rohit was confident that his team could knock off the wickets in the middle overs as well. On Mumbai being slow starters, Sharma says that it is not an ideal thing at all and wants his team to be more consistent. Expects characters to step up, like Pollard and Alzarri did in this game.

Hyderabad skipper, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, says the dropped catches cost them big time. Mentions it could have been an easy chase but the runs from Pollard proved the difference. States taking catches is very important in this game but they failed to do so. Admits the openers failed today and the middle order did not come to the fore as well. Ends by saying the wicket was not a normal flat one but the score should have been chased down.

Earlier in the game, Hyderabad had the game under control having Mumbai at 97/7 after 18 overs. But the last 2 overs went for 39 and the hosts have ended up losing by 40 runs. Had Mumbai been restricted to 120 or below, Hyderabad could have ended up winning. Time for the presentation...

Coming to Hyderabad, this is what happens when your middle order is not that strong. They have been facing this issue for the last 2-3 years now, with the batting resting mainly on Warner, Williamson and Dhawan (till last year). This season, it has been mainly Warner and Bairstow. Can they find a way to get Shakib into the playing XI? Or maybe, do what Melbourne Renegades, an Australian T20 franchise, does with Mohammad Nabi. Use him at number 4 or 5. The middle order simply did not turn up tonight and it was very difficult for a set batsman to score on a sluggish pitch.

The crowd look stunned but let us be fair. They have seen what they don't get to see everyday. A fast bowler, tearing through the opposition (in this case their own home team) on a slow pitch. He got the big wicket early on - of David Warner and then, it was like just cutting a piece of paper with a scissor. However, 4 out of his 6 wickets came in the last 10 balls. Outstanding. From the other end, Behrendorff and Bumrah did their bit while Rahul Chahar impressed with a 2-fer.

Alzarri Shaheim Joseph. Remember the name. Just remember the name. A few weeks ago, this 22-year old kid stunned his country by turning out to play a Test match in the Caribbean, forgoing his mother's funeral. Here, on League debut, he has broken a record which lasted for 11 years. Take a bow.

17.4 W

Alzarri Joseph to Siddarth Kaul. OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! He does get a six-fer. Best figures by a bowler in the Indian T20 League. What a performance by the youngster. Outstanding stuff. He lands this one on a length and it is outside off. Kaul hangs his bat out, the ball kisses the outside edge and de Kock behind makes no mistake. All smiles in the Mumbai camp as THEY HAVE WON BY 40 RUNS!

17.3 1

Alzarri Joseph to Sandeep Sharma. Goes short and outside off, Sharma guides it to point and takes a single.

17.2 4

Alzarri Joseph to Sandeep Sharma. FOUR! Poor ball and put away! Down the leg side, Sandeep flicks it through short fine leg for a boundary.

Sandeep Sharma is the last man in.

17.1 W

Alzarri Joseph to Bhuvneshwar Kumar. OUT! Or he would just look to shuffle across in the hope to find a boundary but miss with his flick shot and see his middle stump get uprooted. FIFER FOR ALZZARI! That too on debut, how better could you start your Indian T20 League career. They do check for the no ball but AJ is fine. He now has 5 balls to take a six-fer.

End of Over : 17 2 Runs SRH: 91/8
16.6 1

Jasprit Bumrah to Bhuvneshwar Kumar. This is angled into the batter. Kumar works it through square leg for a single. Kumar I think now will try and reduce the margin of defeat as much as possible.

16.5 0

Jasprit Bumrah to Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Angles this one into the batter, Kumar works it to mid-wicket.

Siddarth Kaul walks in at number 10, replacing Nabi.

16.4 W

Jasprit Bumrah to Mohammad Nabi. OUT! That is probably the final nail in the coffin. Bumrah gets rid of Nabi. Hits the deck hard and lands it on middle, the ball zips through. Nabi is way too late in the pull shot. It goes off the top edge towards mid off and Rohit takes it with ease.

16.3 0

Jasprit Bumrah to Mohammad Nabi. On the shorter side and on middle, Nabi looks to make room and slashes at it but misses.

16.2 1

16.1 0

End of Over : 16 5 Runs SRH: 89/7
15.6 1

Alzarri Joseph to Bhuvneshwar Kumar. No hat-trick though. The idea was right. It is full but the line is a little too straight. Kumar looks to flick but it hits his pads and rolls towards mid-wicket. A leg bye taken. 5 runs and two wickets from this one.

Skipper Bhuvneshwar Kumar walks in next.

15.5 W

Alzarri Joseph to Rashid Khan. OUT! Two-in-two for Joseph and it is Mumbai's game to lose now! The short ball does the trick again for him. It is on the body and rushes onto the batsman. Rashid looks to pull by taking his eyes off the ball. The ball takes the top edge, then hits the shoulder and lobs beside the pitch. Joseph runs towards it and takes it. Nabi has to do it by himself. Needs to replicate what Pollard did. On the other hand, AJ is on a hat-trick on his debut.

STRATEGIC BREAK. Just when a partnership was brewing, it was cut short. Hyderabad are finding it tougher and tougher to get the boundaries and it will take something really remarkable to get home from here. Bumrah has 2 overs left - consider them not getting scored off much. So that means, the hosts would need to score somewhere around 40 in 2 overs to win this game. That is the effect of that Kieron Pollard onslaught. Meanwhile, here comes Rashid Khan.

15.4 W

Alzarri Joseph to Deepak Hooda. OUT! BOOM! Third for Joseph. You miss, I hit. Full and straight. Hooda swings across the line but misses. The furniture behind is disturbed. Hooda, the batsman who was set walks back. 49 needed in 26.

14.6 6

Jasprit Bumrah to Mohammad Nabi. SIX! What a shot! Outrageous! Powerful. It is short and it is slower in pace. Nabi stands tall and then flat-bats it over the long off fence. Spoils what was a top over it was till then. 53 needed in 30 balls.

13.6 0

Rahul Chahar to Deepak Hooda. Bowls the last ball normally and ends with a dot! Fired outside off, Hooda looks to guide it but misses. Run rate now over 10. 61 needed in the last 6. An excellent night for Chahar, finishes with figures of 2 for 21 in his four.

13.5 1

Rahul Chahar to Mohammad Nabi. A very interesting run up there. Chahar comes right arm over, reverse cutting the wicket. Seen that for the first time probably. The delivery is quick and on middle, it is worked around the corner for a run.

13.4 1

Rahul Chahar to Deepak Hooda. A single! That could have been stopped though. This is pushed to the left of the bowler who dives over the ball and a single is taken.

13.3 1

Rahul Chahar to Mohammad Nabi. The googly outside off, Nabi leans into it and strokes it through covers for a single.

13.2 0

Rahul Chahar to Mohammad Nabi. Flatter this time and Nabi works it to mid-wicket. Two dots in a row.

13.1 0

End of Over : 12 7 Runs SRH: 68/5
11.6 0

Rahul Chahar to Deepak Hooda. On the stumps, it is kept out. 9/2 in the last 2 overs.

11.5 1

Rahul Chahar to Mohammad Nabi. In the air... but safe! Nabi now tries the sweep but due to the extra bounce, the ball hits the gloves and lobs over Rohit at first slip. He turns, takes a few steps and then dives but does not reach the ball. A single taken.

11.4 1

Rahul Chahar to Deepak Hooda. Plays the paddle towards fine leg for a single.

11.3 4

Rahul Chahar to Deepak Hooda. FOUR! Short and wide and it has been put away! Much-needed boundary for the hosts. It is short and outside off. Hooda cuts it through point and it races away.

Rahul Chahar to Yusuf Pathan. OUT! Another one bites the dust. Pathan departs and half the side is back in the hut. A nice tossed up delivery on off, Pathan gets on one knee and looks to play the sweep. The shot is more of a top edge-type, carrying to deep backward square leg where Ishan Kishan makes no mistake. Now then, now then, now then...

11.1 1

10.3 W

Jason Behrendorff to Manish Pandey. OUT! Rohit has taken a very sharp catch! That was hit at some pace towards him and the Mumbai skipper has held onto it. Leading from the front. Pandey fails to make the life he got count. Hyderabad in big trouble now. This is slightly short from Behrendorff. Pandey rocks back and pulls it hard but straight to that fielder. The Mumbai players are pumped. 76 more needed in 57 balls. 6 wickets in hand.

10.2 1

Jason Behrendorff to Deepak Hooda. Once again a little too straight, the fielder at fine leg is on the rope though so just a single.

6.5 W

Alzarri Joseph to Vijay Shankar. OUT! Just like the Mumbai batting line-up, Hyderabad too have lost their top three within the first 10 overs. Could have easily been four had Pollard taken the catch of Pandey. Nevertheless, Joseph continues to impress. A quick short one, the key here though is the line. It is just outside off. End of Over : 2 6 Runs SRH: 14/0
