Even since MS Dhoni has been away from international cricket, there have been several speculations about the former India skipper calling it quits. Recently the BCCI excluded him from the central contracts and this added fuel to the fire. As soon as the wicket-keeper batsman was excluded from the contract, #ThankYouDhoni began trending on social media.
Bangladesh will then return to Pakistan in April for the one-off ODI which will be played on April 3 and the second Test from April 5-9. Pakistan have also recalled the experienced duo of Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik, along with pacer Shaheen Afridi for the T20I series.
During the second match between India and Australia hosted at the Saurashtra Cricket Association in Rajkot it was KL Rahul’s performance which stood out in the game. That aside the top batting order and the bowlers of both teams have been in fine form.
India and Australia have quality in every department, but the final game will be more about a test of nerves than skills. The Men in Blue will start as favourites considering they have momentum with them.
For a change, the world’s best no 3 – Virat Kohli – was batting at 3 again for India after the shocker in the 1st game. Kohli looked his old self back at his favourite position. He pulled, drove, lofted and smashed but Adam Zampa dismissed him again. The leg-spinner becoming the first-ever spinner to dismiss Kohli 5 times in ODI matches.
Dhawan was injured after being hit on the rib cage while batting. The left-hander did no't take the field in Australia's innings. However, reportedly Dhawan is doing fine and will be available for the next match.
