South Africa finally have their first win in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. The Proteas beat Afghanistan by 9 wickets in a rain affected match at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff. Thanks to Imran Tahir and Chris Morris, South Africa restricted Afghanistan for 125. In reply, South Africa batsman Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla forged a partnership of above 100. South Africa eventually won with 9 wickets.

South Africa are taking on Afghanistan in match 21 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 on Saturday at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff. Both South Africa and Afghanistan are looking for their first win in the ICC Cricket World Cup (CWC) 2019. South Africa have had the worst start possible in the world cup. The Proteas have played four matches so far, out of which they have lost three and won none as their last match against West Indies was washed away due to rain. On the other hand, Afghanistan have showed promise but failed to win any match. The Afghan 'Atalans' lost to Australia by 7 wickets in their first match of the ICC CWC 2019. They lost to Sri Lanka by 34 runs. Afghanistan were defeated by New Zealand by 7 wickets in their last match.

Both South Africa and Afghanistan will look to win this match as it's a virtual must win game for both the sides. South Africa will rely on Quinton de Kock and Kagiso Rabada. Afghanistan will hope that their batsmen give the bowlers and especially Rashid Khan enough runs on the board to defend.
