Afghanistan Series in Delhi
India will host Afghanistan for three T20Is on 13, 15, and 17 September 2026, with all matches taking place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The quick turnaround provides team management with an opportunity to assess squad depth and manage player workloads after the red-ball fixtures in Galle and Colombo.
Busy Home Window Ahead
Immediately after the Afghanistan T20I series, India are slated to play in the upcoming Asian Games 2026 in Japan. Interestingly, India will also commence a comprehensive home bilateral assignment against the West Indies just days after Asian Games 2026. The Caribbean side will tour from late September to mid-October for three One-Day Internationals followed by five T20Is.
The three ODIs will be hosted in Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati, and New Chandigarh between 27 September and 3 October. The five-match T20I leg will follow across Lucknow, Ranchi, Indore, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. Concurrently, a second-string Indian squad is slated to compete in the Asian Games in Japan.
