After Portugal defeated Lexumbourg in Euro Qualifiers 2020, Cristiano Ronaldo shared a post with his teammates. Portugal qualified for Euro 2020 from group B along with Ukraine after their 2-0 victory against Luxembourg. Ronaldo scored a goal in the match, reaching 99th international goal for his nation. Portugal vs Luxembourg football game was played at Stade Josy Barthel stadium. The visitors Portugal had more ball possession, passes and tried more shots on goal. Portugal got an early lead in the match as Fernandes scored in the 39th minute. No other goals were scored in the first half. The other goal of the match came in the last minutes of the full time as Ronaldo scored his 99th international goal in the 86th minute.

Portugal won five matches out of eight games. Before tonight's match, they won against Serbia (4-2), Lithuania (5-1), Luxembourg (3-0) and Lithuania (6-0). Portugal's one match against Ukraine ended in a goalless tie while another game against Serbia ended in 1-1 tie. Portugal's only loss came against Ukraine (2-1). Portugal is the defending champions of Euro Championships. They defeated France 1-0 in the earlier edition in Euro 2016.
