This past week on SmackDown, Samoa Joe became the new WWE United States Champion. R-Truth the former US title holder gave an open challenge to compete him for the championship belt, this proved quite costly to R-Truth. As he was challenged by not only Samoa Joe, but also by Andrade and Rey Mysterio. This lead to a fatal 4-way match for United States Championship, which The Samoan Submission machine won by pinning Andrade. He thereby achieved his first championship victory in his WWE career.

Apart from that we again saw The Queen trying to play mind games with Becky Lynch before heading for a match against her this Sunday. However, The Man came out strong, in spite of first being brutally hit by Charlotte Flair with her crutches, she turned the table by delivering her dis-arm submission move to Charlotte. The Irish Woman in spite of getting brutally assaulted just 24 hours before by Ronda Rousey, showed the universe that she would never give up and nothing can put her confidence down. 1. The Miz defeated Jey Uso.

2. Ricochet & Aleister Black defeated The Bar, where we also saw THe Hardy Boyz appearing after the match to protect the NXT stars from attack by The Bar & Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura.

3. Kevin Owens vs Rowan ended in no disqualification victory to Owens, as the match was first disrupted by Daniel Bryan which led to the return of Mustafa Ali to rescue the no.1 contender from attack by the duo of Bryan and Rowan.

4. Mandy Rose defeated Naomi.
