New York, May 5: Indians have been present in various countries for years, serving their cause. The contribution of Indians abroad is often appreciated due to their hard work, dedication, and upholding the values and laws relevant in any country. In the United States, Indian Americans were accounted for below 2% of the total population. As per the 2020 census, the number of Indians living in the US was around 44,60,000. Harbir K Bhatia, CEO of the SVC Chamber of Commerce, recently said that the American tech industry could not survive without Indians.

The CEO of the Silicon Valley Central Chamber of Commerce further further said that the Indians are among the "largest leaders of innovations in Silicon Valley, according to a report by the Economic Times. The SVC Chamber of Commerce CEO also mentioned that 40% of the Silicon Valley founders and CEOs were from South India and India. With these large numbers, she said Indians were already leading the big corporations. Most notably Google, Microsoft and YouTube. She said either the Indians work as CEOs or Chief Experience Officers (CXOs).

As per Harbir K Bhatia, Indians bring the best value to the workplace, such as productivity and hard work. She said that Indians are different from others because of their craving and aspirations to go the extra mile. She emphasised that majority of the outsourcing was still done in India and the American tech industry had been following three-to-one model, meaning one American employee costs three Indian employees. She mentioned that there was a reason to put a cap on the visa because if they did not, the Indians could take up all the jobs.
