Infosys Public Services CEO Lax Gopisetty, who was visiting Nepal in a personal capacity, is currently unreachable following devastating floods in the country, Infosys said in a statement. The company said it was working with relevant agencies to gather information and establish contact with the senior executive.

The company, according to a Moneycontrol report, said its immediate concern was Gopisetty’s safety and wellbeing as authorities continue responding to the flooding. Who Is Lax Gopisetty?

Gopisetty is the CEO of Infosys Public Services, the Bengaluru-based company's subsidiary focused on the public sector in the US and Canada.

In his role, he advises public sector organisations on strategy, technology, operations and transformation, while overseeing the company's strategy and execution. He has more than three decades of experience across public and private-sector organisations, including government, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, utilities, education and insurance.

Gopisetty's Corporate Career

Before becoming CEO of Infosys Public Services, Gopisetty was Global Vice President at Infosys and headed its Business Applications and Digital Workspace Services business. During that period, he expanded the practice across the Americas, Europe and Asia.

He previously served as a Managing Director at Accenture, where he led a segment of the Health and Public Services business in North America. His earlier career included roles at BearingPoint, IBM, PwC and HCL, where he worked on consulting, technology transformation and business growth.

Work In Technology And Social Impact

Gopisetty has also been involved in the technology and startup ecosystem, serving as a mentor to startups and as a board member at innovation accelerators. He has spoken at industry forums on artificial intelligence, the future of work, digital governance and technology-led transformation.

Beyond his corporate role, Gopisetty has been involved in social-impact initiatives. He has served on the board of Sparsh Palliative Care Services in India, which provides hospice services.

Gopisetty was visiting Nepal in a personal capacity when he became unreachable, according to Infosys. The company has not linked his disappearance to any specific incident or provided details about where he was staying or travelling in the country.
