Mumbai, March 25: Samsung has officially expanded its popular A-series lineup in India with the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy A57. Succeeding last year's Galaxy A56, the new mid-range contender introduces significant hardware upgrades, including a more powerful processor and a refined camera system. While the company has confirmed that the device will be available across the country starting April 10, 2026, official pricing remains awaited. The smartphone will be offered in two distinct variants and three color options: Awesome Navy, Awesome Icyblue, and Awesome Lilac.

The Galaxy A57 represents a shift in Samsung's mid-range strategy, focusing on longevity and display quality. It arrives with a commitment to six generations of Android OS updates and six years of security patches, running the latest One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 out of the box. This extended support cycle, previously reserved for flagship models, aims to provide long-term value for users looking for a durable device that stays current with the latest software features and security protocols. Samsung Galaxy A57, Samsung Galaxy A37 Smartphones Launch Today in India.

Samsung Galaxy A57: Performance and Hardware Upgrades

At the heart of the Galaxy A57 is the new Exynos 1680 chipset, designed to provide improved efficiency and a faster image signal processor (ISP). The device supports up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, making it capable of handling heavy multitasking and high-resolution media.

To keep the device running through a full day of intensive use, Samsung has equipped the A57 with a 5,000mAh battery. The hardware is housed in a chassis that carries an IP68 rating, ensuring a high level of resistance against both water and dust. Vivo V70 FE Launch Soon in India, Confirms Teaser; Check Expected Specifications.

Super AMOLED Display and Design

The smartphone features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. This ensures smooth scrolling and an enhanced gaming experience. A notable addition is the Vision Booster support, which intelligently adjusts the screen’s brightness and contrast to maintain visibility even under direct, harsh sunlight.

Despite the large screen size, the design maintains the signature A-series aesthetic, characterized by a clean back panel and integrated camera lenses. The three "Awesome" color variants offer a mix of professional and vibrant tones to cater to a wide range of consumer preferences.

Refined Triple-Camera System

For photography, the Galaxy A57 employs a triple rear camera setup. The primary sensor is a 50MP wide-angle lens, which is complemented by a 12MP ultra-wide camera for landscape shots and a 5MP macro camera for close-up photography.

On the front, a 12MP selfie camera is housed within the display. The upgraded ISP in the Exynos 1680 chipset is expected to improve low-light performance and provide better color accuracy in both photos and 4K video recording.

The Galaxy A57 is part of Samsung’s effort to bridge the gap between its budget M-series and the premium S-series. By introducing a 120Hz Super AMOLED panel and flagship-level software support to the A-series, Samsung is targeting younger consumers and professionals who prioritize display quality and device longevity without the flagship price tag. This launch follows the March 2025 release of the A56, indicating a consistent annual refresh cycle for the brand’s most successful mid-range segment.
