Melbourne, July 11: Telstra Group reportedly plans to lay off hundreds of employees amid ongoing structural changes and significant updates in the enterprise business. Telstra announced it would lay off 2,800 employees by the end of 2024. The layoffs were aimed at reducing the workforce by 10% and helping save the company money amid inflation and competition. By the end of August 2023, Telstra had 31,000 employees and with the workforce reduction, it aimed to save AU$ 200 to AU$ 250 million for the fiscal year 2024-2025.
