The Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi is currently working on the new Xiaomi Mi 9 lineup, which is expected to be launched soon. Similar to Xiaomi Mi 8 and Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition, the company will also be introducing a new Xiaomi Mi 9 Explorer Edition that will be the most powerful smartphone in the market. Chuan revealed this information while replying to questions raised by fans regarding Mi 9 and Mi 9 Explorer Edition. Initially spotted by GizmoChina, the Xiaomi Group Founder did not provide any metrics or measurable test results. It is important to note the post seems to be deleted as we could not locate the same on the Weibo account. The post confirmed that the Mi 9 Explorer Edition smartphone will feature quad camera module at the back instead of triple-camera setup seen on Mi 9. For the device to be the most powerful, Xiaomi needs to equip the handset with 12GB RAM or more. On the other hand, Samsung is also planning to add 12GB of RAM on its upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10+. In order to make Xiaomi Mi 9 Explorer Edition the most powerful, the company will also be required to incorporate overclocked version of Snapdragon 855 SoC. This new report surfaced on the internet post top officials posted camera samples captured from the 48MP primary camera sensor on Mi 9.

Additionally, a new render image of the Explorer edition was also leaked on the internet which revealed the quad camera setup. The render images also reveals the transparent-styled design of the smartphone alongside quad-camera. The reports claim that the first camera will be the depth mapping sensor while the second will be the primary shooter with 48MP camera sensor. The third and fourth sensors are an ultra-wide angle lens and regular telephoto lens. Expect more details about the smartphone coming out in the market in the future.
