Vivo, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has officially launched a new mid-range smartphone, which is called Vivo Y9s. Launched at a starting price of CNY 1,998 (around Rs 20,400), the Vivo Y9s smartphone is essentially a re-branded version of Vivo V17 that was launched in Russia last week. The main highlights of the phone are waterdrop-style display notch, diamond-shaped quad rear camera setup, and a gradient styling rear design, a 32MP selfie camera, 18W Dual Engine fast charging and much more. As far as the prices are concerned, the Vivo Y9s smartphone comes with a price of CNY 1,998 which is around Rs 20,400 for the 8GB RAM variant. The smartphone is scheduled to go on sale in China from December 6 onwards. As of now, the interested customers can pre-book the device in three colours - Nebula Blue, Symphony of Light and Glazed Black. However, the availability details of the phone in the global market are yet to be revealed.

On the specification front, the new Vivo Y9s smartphone comes with 6.38-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340x1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The phone also gets a waterdrop-styled notch display with a screen-to-body ratio of 90 percent. The phone comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset that is clubbed with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage. For photography, the newly launched Vivo Y9s comes with a quad rear camera module comprising of a 48MP primary shooter with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP secondary lens with an ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro lens. At the front, there is a 32MP snapper for video calling and selfies. The phone also comes with 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C and in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone is backed by a 4000mAh battery with 18W Dual Engine fast charging technology.
