According to PTI, Srinath hailed from Talamadla village in Telangana's Kamareddy district. A GoFundMe page reportedly created by his cousins, Sanoj and Manish, said the fundraiser was launched to help cover the expenses of repatriating his mortal remains to India.
Srinath's father, Madhusudan Reddy, said the family has not been informed about the exact cause or circumstances of his son's death. He appealed to both the Central government and the Telangana government to assist in bringing his son's body back to India at the earliest. The family said Srinath last spoke to them on the night of June 22 and did not mention anything unusual during the conversation. According to his father, Srinath had attended a birthday gathering later that evening.
A relative, whose son also lives in London, said Srinath's roommate allegedly found him dead the following morning on June 23. The relative further claimed that the roommate later informed friends that Srinath had died by suicide. However, UK authorities have not publicly confirmed the cause of death or released any official details about the incident. The family said they came to know about Srinath's death through friends and acquaintances and are still awaiting clarity from the authorities.
The incident has left the family devastated, with relatives urging the Indian government and officials in the United Kingdom to expedite the repatriation process so that Srinath's last rites can be performed in his hometown.
