Witness Describes Barrage Of Gunfire
A witness told local news station KARE that she "probably heard 25 to 30 shots over the course of the incident". She said she was walking down towards the lobby of the apartment building when she heard gunfire and noticed "somebody that was down".
After leaving the building, the witness said she "heard lots more shots". "Once I was finally outside of the building, I probably heard 25 to 30 shots – because there were multiple officers who had [...] entered," she added. The witness account was consistent with the heavy police response seen at the building, where officers entered the apartment tower as gunfire was being reported.
3 Police Officers Injured
Three Minneapolis police officers were among those injured in the incident. Recent reports said two officers suffered gunshot wounds, while another sustained a separate injury. All three were reported to be in stable condition, although one officer was undergoing surgery.
