According to officials, the victims included multiple adults and a two-year-old child. Emergency crews rushed the injured to nearby hospitals after securing the scene at Seattle Center, located at 305 Harrison Street.

The injured also included a two-year-old boy and a 23-year-old, both reported to be in stable condition. A 56-year-old woman was said to be in serious condition. Another 40-year-old woman sustained minor injuries but declined transport to a hospital.
Harborview Medical Center said all admitted patients had suffered gunshot wounds. One adult woman underwent surgery and was listed in critical condition, while the remaining patients were reported to be in satisfactory condition.
Several witnesses recounted the chaos that unfolded as gunfire erupted during the popular food festival. "I heard bang, bang, bang, and I heard yelling, straight yelling," one witness told King 5. Another witness, Isiah, told KOMO News, "I was working...when I heard four pops." He said he initially thought the sounds were routine until he saw "women, kids, and men" screaming and running. "I hopped the fence," he said, adding that he later praised the quick response by the Seattle Police.
Another witness, Andrew, said he did not immediately realise what had happened. "I saw families, kids, just running out of the fair," he said. "Someone said active shooter, and I jumped the fence and ran." Videos from the scene showed a heavy police presence, with parts of the festival area cordoned off as investigators examined evidence.
Authorities have not released a possible motive for the shooting. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident, including the roles of the two people now in custody. Officials have reiterated that there is no ongoing threat to the public as the investigation progresses.
