Actor Malvi Malhotra Stabbed In Mumbai Allegedly For 'Rejecting' Man's Proposal; Seeks Help From Kangana Ranaut

TV actor Malvi Malhotra was attacked with a knife on October 26 around 9 pm. The actor was attacked allegedly by an acquaintance for turning down his marriage proposal. She was going home from a café in north Mumbai's Versova area when the suspect allegedly attacked her with a knife. Malvi Malhotra was stabbed thrice - once in the abdomen and both hands. She has been admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, where she is recovering, the police said. The man, who reportedly came in a luxury car and stabbed her, fled after the attack. He has been identified as Yogesh Mahipal Singh. According to her statement in the FIR, the actor turned down his advances and said, "I do not want to talk to you. Why have you been stalking me? Don't follow me.” Malvi Malhotra has requested actress Kangana Ranaut and National Commission for Women (NCW) chief Rekha Sharma to support her. Kangana Ranaut has offered her support to the actor. Malvi's family is in constant touch with her and they plan to take the actress back to her hometown once her treatment is over. Malvi Malhotra started out as a model, and has notably worked in the TV show "Udaan".
