On August 17, the BJP released its first list of 21 candidates for Chhattisgarh & 39 for Madhya Pradesh. Five women candidates each have been included in both states for the upcoming assembly polls which are yet to be announced. Candidates were decided at the BJP's Central Election Committee meeting on August 16. The meeting was chaired by BJP chief J P Nadda and attended by PM Narendra Modi. Union ministers Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah were also present at the meet. Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram are scheduled to go to polls later this year. Watch the video to know more.
